On behalf of the staff of St Brigid’s Primary School, Raymond Terrace, I extend a warm welcome to everyone in our school community. St Brigid’s is a large rural school drawing enrolments from Raymond Terrace and the Port Stephens area. St Brigid’s operates under the governance of the Catholic Schools Office in the Diocese of Maitland-Newcastle.
St Brigid’s staff are committed to helping students achieve their goals with a strong focus on Catholic identity and the development of the whole person.
St Brigid’s is open to all families who are willing to support the Catholic ethos and the educational, behavioural and social requirements of the school. St Brigid’s values relationships with families and believes that the best education is possible when all members of the school community – students, families, staff, parish and wider community – share a positive and productive relationship.
As parents, you are an important member of our school community and we invite you to actively participate in your child’s education. There are opportunities to be involved in the Parents & Friends Association and canteen committee or help as computer, reading, craft and sport assistants. Be assured that you will be warmly welcomed, whichever way you decide to assist.
I welcome new families to the school and parish community. This is your school and you are a vital part of it. I encourage you to become involved in all school activities. I am sure if you do so, you will find the experience most rewarding.
May God bless each one of us as we work together to bring His message to those we meet. May we each see the face of Jesus in each other as we meet during the year, and may each day be a new beginning and a new experience of the power of God in our life.
